Donate on-line
Credit and Debit card donations can be made securely on-line via the Charities Aid Foundation. There's a big advantage here, any Gift-Aid will be added directly to your donation. If you pay tax in the UK just tick the Gift Aid box and, at no extra cost to you, the reclaimed tax will be added directly to your donation, so a £10.00 donation becomes (after the admin fee) a £12.18 donation to the Association.
Make a Regular Donation
One off and regular donations by standing order can be one of the most effective ways to help the Association. Our progress is largely dependent on funds available and we still have plenty of challenges ahead. Please complete and send to your own bank. Available in HTML and PDF (26kB) formats.
Gift Aid Declaration
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can make your contributions worth nearly 30 per cent more, at no extra cost to you. For every £10 donated, the Association can claim an extra £2.82 from the Inland Revenue, making your donations and membership subscriptions worth even more.
Please complete either the HTML or PDF (33kB) forms and return.
Come along and help with our Working Parties
The main vehicle restoration project at Bewdley is 1929 built nondescript saloon 9103. Between the mid 20s and mid 30s the Great Western constructed a great many coaches with the distinctive 'Bow Ends', designed by Charles Collett it containing two saloons plus one standard compartment and a small Brake compartment. Restoration is proceeding steadily and help is welcome on most Wednesdays and Saturdays at Bewdley. No special skills are needed just a practical aptitude and a willingness to muck in. If you are interested in helping, chat to any the worker on 9103, email us at: info@gw-svr-a.org.uk or phone Mick Haynes on 07733 310060.
Donate items and helping in the Association's Shop
In the 'Cattle Dock' at Bewdley station is our restored Great Western Milk Brake 1399 which forms the bed-rock of our sales
activities and is open most weekends throughout the year. The stand relies on the good-will of members and friends to
make
donations of good quality books and other items of both railway and general interest. All proceeds go directly towards funding our restoration projects and so any items you can bring along are most welcome.
Summer 2009: Our long serving stalwart in the shop, Ken Commander, has been poorly lately – get well soon Ken! This has left us rather short staffed so if anyone could help out, particularly Saturday mornings and Sundays, please phone Chris Haynes on 0121 4216955 or email chaynes52@hotmail.com.
