Hawksworth third. Built 1949. Purchased in 1968 from Didcot. This carriage was built by the Gloucester carriage and wagon works and differs from 829 in that it has an oak interior rather than the more usual mahogany. Having seen service for many years on the Valley, it is now out of use awaiting its turn to go into the Severn Valley works for a major refurbishment.
